About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at Bar Burrito Fresh Mexican Grill. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our food preparation and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of food quantities used, ensuring efficient inventory management and minimizing waste.
  • Food Preparation: Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items to meet our high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Clean and sanitize the kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment, to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
  • Supply Management: Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas, ensuring timely restocking and minimizing stockouts.
  • Waste Management: Remove kitchen garbage and trash, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Sharpen kitchen knives and perform other routine maintenance tasks to ensure equipment is in good working order.
  • Floor Care: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Food Handling: Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit, adhering to proper food handling and safety procedures.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: Experience is an asset, but not necessary.
  • Language: English is the primary language spoken in the workplace.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
