Job Title: Electrical Inspector

Next Power Inc. is seeking a skilled Electrical Inspector to join our team. As an Electrical Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring that electrical installations and construction meet government regulations and building codes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Examine plans, drawings, and site layouts to ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.
  • Inspect electrical installations and construction to ensure they meet government regulations and building codes.
  • Provide information and training to employers, employees, and the general public on electrical safety and building codes.
  • Enforce steel and concrete installation codes to ensure structural integrity.
  • Inspect sewer systems and pipelines to ensure they meet building codes and regulations.
  • Ensure safe working conditions are maintained on construction sites.
  • Inspect existing buildings for structural defects and fire hazards.
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in electrical inspection or a related field.
  • Basic security clearance.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and ability to distinguish between colors.
  • Sound discrimination and hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a physically demanding environment.
