Job Summary:

The Electrical Inspector will be responsible for ensuring that electrical installations and construction meet government regulations and building codes. This includes examining plans, drawings, and site layouts, providing information and training to employers, employees, and the general public, and inspecting construction to ensure compliance with specifications and codes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Examine plans, drawings, and site layouts to ensure compliance with building codes and regulations
  • Provide information and training to employers, employees, and the general public on electrical safety and installation
  • Inspect construction to ensure compliance with specifications and codes
  • Ensure electrical and plumbing installations meet government regulations
  • Enforce steel and concrete installation codes

  • Inspect existing buildings for structural defects and fire hazards
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year
