Job Title: Advanced Care Paramedic

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Advanced Care Paramedic to join our team at NL Health Services. As an Advanced Care Paramedic, you will be responsible for providing emergency medical care to patients in a variety of settings, including pre-hospital and hospital environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to emergency calls and provide advanced medical care to patients
  • Conduct physical examinations and perform comprehensive assessments and tests
  • Initiate advanced interventions and provide medical care to patients
  • Work independently and as part of a team to provide patient care
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of patient care
Requirements:
  • Graduation from an approved Advanced Care Paramedic program
  • Current registration with the NL Paramedicine Regulation as an ACP
  • Current medical certification with the Office of the Provincial Medical Director
  • Valid Class 4 Driver's License as issued by the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support and ACLS
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Critical and sound decision making skills
Working Conditions:

The successful candidate will be required to work variable shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and on-call/standby shifts. The candidate must be able to lift and move patients and equipment, and work in a fast-paced emergency environment.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this position is $35.42 to $39.58 per hour, with applicable Labrador Allowance. The successful candidate will also be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package.
