Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Truck Technician to join our team at Maxim Truck and Trailer. As a key member of our service department, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing heavy-duty trucks and trailers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough and quality diagnostic, service, and repair of heavy-duty trucks and trailers
  • Identify potential and future problems and make recommendations on repairs or replacement parts
  • Update the Service Manager on completion time changes
  • Road test the unit to ensure quality of work completed
  • Document repairs, parts, or problems encountered during the repair process on the repair order
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Requirements:

  • 5+ years' experience as a Truck & Trailer Technician. Journeyperson status preferred.
  • Valid Class 3 with Air Driver's License an asset (for road tests)
  • Must possess CVIP
  • Ability to work within a team
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to Interpret technical manuals and schematics
  • Interest in continually upgrading skills and knowledge in the trade
  • Ability to communicate in English effectively both verbally and in writing
