Maxim Truck and Trailer is seeking a skilled Truck and Trailer Technician to join our team in Brandon, MB.

About the Role:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced technician to work on heavy-duty trucks and trailers. As a Truck and Trailer Technician, you will be responsible for completing thorough and quality diagnostic, service, and repair of heavy-duty trucks and trailers.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete thorough and quality diagnostic, service, and repair of heavy-duty trucks and trailers
  • Identify potential and future problems
  • Make recommendations on repairs or replacement parts
  • Update the Service Manager on completion time changes
  • Road test the unit to ensure quality of work completed
  • Document repairs, parts, or problems encountered during repair process on repair order
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Requirements:

  • 5+ years' experience as a Truck and Trailer Technician. Journeyperson status preferred.
  • Valid Class 3 with Air Driver's License an asset (for road tests)
  • Must possess CVIP
  • Ability to work within a team
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to Interpret technical manuals and schematics
  • Interest in continually upgrading skills and knowledge in trade
  • Ability to communicate in English effectively both verbally and in writing
