Truck and Trailer Service Technician

Maxim Truck and Trailer is seeking a skilled Truck and Trailer Service Technician to join our team. As a key member of our service department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction by providing exceptional service and repair work on heavy duty trucks and trailers.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced technician who is passionate about delivering quality work and providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy duty truck and trailer repair, with a focus on diagnostic and repair skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform thorough and quality diagnostic, service and repair of heavy duty trucks and trailers
  • Identify potential and future problems and make recommendations on repairs or replacement parts
  • Update the Service Manager on completion time changes
  • Road test the unit to ensure quality of work completed
  • Document repairs, parts, or problems encountered during repair process on repair order
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Qualifications

  • 5+ years' experience as a Truck and Trailer Technician. Journeyperson status preferred.
  • Valid Class 3 with Air Driver's License an asset (for road tests)
  • Must possess CVIP
  • Ability to work within a team
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to Interpret technical manuals and schematics
  • Interest in continually upgrading skills and knowledge in trade
  • Ability to communicate in English effectively both verbally and in writing
