- Advising leadership on disciplinary measures, terminations, and compliance with federal employment regulations
- Effectively mediating disputes and concerns between staff and management
- Conducting thorough investigations in response to grievances and proposing resolutions
- Collaborating with multiple departments throughout the organization
- Assisting management during Grievance and Arbitration sessions
- Facilitating training programs focused on employee relations
- Analyzing workforce data to uncover trends and enhance strategies
- Ensuring adherence to employment legislation
- Serving as a subject matter expert on Collective Agreements
- Revising HR policies and procedures as necessary
- Implementing HR initiatives that align with the company's objectives
- Supporting various HR projects and programs
- Bachelor's degree in labor relations, human resources, or a related discipline
- Master's degree is preferred
- Over 5 years of experience in labor relations
- CPHR/CRHA certification is an asset
- Proven experience in negotiation and conflict resolution
- Familiarity with labor unions
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
- Strong leadership and management capabilities
- Comprehensive understanding of labor laws
- Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively
- Adaptability and flexibility in a dynamic environment
- Willingness to travel as required
