Welder Apprentice

Mammoet is seeking a skilled and motivated Welder Apprentice to join our Edmonton branch. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for repairing, modifying, and fabricating equipment to meet our high standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct all business activities in a professional and respectful manner.
- Ensure that all assigned work is carried out in accordance with Mammoet's policies and procedures.
- Report all near misses and incidents to the supervisor.
- Ensure that you are qualified to use the equipment and attend daily toolbox meetings.
- Complete field-level risk assessments and ensure that work is done according to given directions.
- Repair and modify lifting and transport equipment safely and according to drawings and procedures.
- Fabricate equipment for lifting and transport safely and according to drawings and procedures.
- Inform the supervisor when new fabricated, repaired, or modified equipment is ready for inspection.
- Maintain good customer relations and fill in time sheets correctly.
- Ensure that all paperwork is included and completed for further processing when a job is completed.
- Minimum of three months of labor experience.
- Indentured apprentice (second or third year).
- Completed necessary internal T&DP courses.
- CSTS.
- Site-specific orientation.
- Aerial work platform, fall arrest, confined space, overhead crane, skid steer, loader, zoom boom.
- Proficient in English, written and spoken.
