About the Role

Parsons is seeking an experienced Resident Engineer with a strong background in EPBM TBM and associated shaft sinking work to work on a large sewage system project.

The successful candidate will supervise all works relevant to tunnel construction and specialist engineering works for project compliance, including other authorities' and agencies' requirements for permanent works and temporary works.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain first-level quality assurance to confirm that the installation of all work within their discipline is in accordance with the plans, specifications, and industry standards.
  • Manage a consultants construction site team.
  • Ensure that tests and inspections are performed, witnessed, and documented in accordance with approved procedures.
  • Ensure that personnel of the assigned group engage in safe work practices in compliance with site-specific safety procedures and industry standards.
  • Review and interpret discipline design drawings and specifications to ensure current revision level and correct technical execution of the work.
  • Provide resolution for technical engineering problems within the assigned discipline and coordinate application of solutions.
  • Maintain a daily log for permanent record of project construction, as well as discipline data for the final project turnover and report.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering along with professional registration (P.Eng) with PEO.
  • 15+ years demonstrable experience, of which 7 years in similar capacity of EPB Tunnel and shaft construction.
  • Experience must include all Health & Safety and Environmental Protection aspects of the construction of shaft and tunnelling works.
  • Strong leadership quality to lead and motivate a team of Inspectors as the Supervisor Consultant in a Design, Bid, Build project environment.
  • Ability to work on site in a 24/7 capacity.
