About the Role

This is a full-time, permanent position that will enjoy hybrid working arrangements, which can be fulfilled primarily from the credit union's head office location and your Lower Mainland-based home office. Periodically, you'll be required to attend in-person activities or events.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible and accountable for overseeing the functionality and operation of all internal procurement systems/platforms and implementing new processes within the systems, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders and continual process improvement for efficiencies.
  • Owning the vendor onboarding program and implementing it successfully for each new vendor.
  • Reviewing vendor contracts against the credit union and regulatory standards, removing gaps, providing alternate language and first-round redlines.
  • Package contract issues, gaps, and potential redlines into consumable work packages for formal legal review by the credit union's legal team.
  • Review and negotiate all contract changes directly with the vendor.
  • Responsible for acting as SME for all procurement system implementations and upgrades.
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and support to the procurement team and business stakeholders in order to build knowledge and capability and increase workflow efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Supports Vendor IT Strategic Relationships by owning a portfolio of vendors and overseeing their performance and interactions with business and technical stakeholders and driving ever-improved performance.
  • Interface with the credit union's processes and teams to ensure that procurement functions align with all other credit union teams and processes.
Requirements
  • A University or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration.
  • 5 years of work experience in procurement, vendor management, or a related field.
  • 5 years' experience reviewing, managing, redlining, and negotiating contracts.
