Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager Business Analysis to join our team at Scotiabank. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading complex business analysis projects and providing strategic guidance to our business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead business analysis projects from initiation to delivery, ensuring timely and within-budget completion.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders, including senior management, to understand their needs and provide strategic guidance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement business solutions that meet the needs of our customers and stakeholders.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to junior business analysts to help them develop their skills and advance in their careers.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure our business solutions are innovative and effective.
Requirements
  • 8 years of hands-on experience in business analysis, with a strong track record of delivering complex projects.
  • Experience managing and coaching a team of business analysts, with a focus on developing their skills and advancing their careers.
  • Prior experience working on financial instruments, including OTC derivatives and foreign exchange, with a strong understanding of market conventions and valuation methods.
  • Strong understanding of current EDP practices, system development techniques, and real-time analytical and formal modeling tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information to senior stakeholders.
  • A recognized post-graduate degree in a STEM field or a related discipline.
