Key Responsibilities- Develop and Implement Retail Strategies: Create and execute sales strategies to drive growth, profitability, and operational excellence in the cannabis retail sector. Lead the team to achieve sales targets and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
- Oversee Day-to-Day Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations of retail locations, ensuring consistent execution of company standards. Implement efficient processes to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
- Manage Inventory and Merchandising: Manage inventory levels and implement merchandising strategies to boost sales.
- Lead and Develop the Team: Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing retail team. Set performance expectations and provide ongoing feedback.
- Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with cannabis industry regulations. Keep the team informed and compliant with updates.
- Optimize Store Layouts: Lead new store openings and optimize layouts to enhance the shopping experience.
- Manage Budgets and Financial Performance: Develop and manage budgets to control costs and monitor financial performance, including wage and labor budgets.
- Build Relationships with Suppliers: Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and negotiate favorable terms.
- Experience: 7+ years of experience in retail leadership, preferably in cannabis or related industries.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field.
- Skills: Strong operational, sales, and customer service skills. Knowledge of cannabis industry regulations. Excellent leadership and team management abilities. Analytical mindset for data-driven decision-making. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
