Job Summary

This role is responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date attendance records for students in a school setting. The Attendance Secretary will work under the direction of the Supervisor/Designate to collect, maintain, and communicate attendance information to school administration staff and parents/guardians.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and maintain accurate attendance records for all students in the school
  • Communicate attendance information to school administration staff and parents/guardians through automated systems
  • Maintain confidentiality of student attendance records
  • Ensure attendance records are accurate and up-to-date in accordance with Board and Ministry regulations
Requirements
  • Secondary School Diploma
  • Two (2) years relevant office experience
  • Proficient in the use of Board-provided computer-based technologies
  • Preferred experience in an educational setting
  • Experience with Student Information Systems
  • Evidence of satisfactory attendance and punctuality
About the Role

This is a full-time position with a salary range of $1073.09/week to $1225.80/week. The hours of work are 7:30 am to 3:30 pm. The contract dates are from ASAP to no later than January 31, 2025.
