About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Audit Manager to join our team at KPMG Canada. As a key member of our audit team, you will be responsible for leading and managing audits of our clients, ensuring that our clients receive high-quality services and that our audit practices and methodologies are applied effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage audits from planning to completion, ensuring that all audit work is completed to a high standard and in accordance with KPMG's audit and accounting practices.
  • Participate in the practice group to assist in implementing group business plans and contribute to the development of audit methodologies and procedures.
  • Work with members of the practice management group to meet the goals of the assurance financial plan and ensure that our audit services are aligned with our clients' business objectives.
  • Counsel, train, and mentor audit staff to ensure that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
  • Apply KPMG's audit and accounting practices and methodologies on client engagements, ensuring that our clients receive high-quality services and that our audit practices are applied consistently.
Requirements
  • Canadian CPA designation or international equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience working with a public practice accounting firm.
  • Previous experience using the various accounting frameworks applicable in Canada (IFRS, ASPE, NPO, and/or Public Sector).
  • Excellent client service skills with an aptitude to understand the clients' business to develop and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Ability to manage conflicting demands and priorities.
  • Dedication and motivation to achieve high standards of client service.
  • Proven background of building a client base and adding revenue.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong team player with meticulous attention to detail.
