About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Audit Manager to join our dynamic team at KPMG in Canada. As a key member of our audit team, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing audits of our clients, ensuring the correct accounting practices and methodologies are applied.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage audits from planning to completion, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
  • Participate in the practice group to assist in implementing group business plans and meet the goals of the assurance financial plan.
  • Counsel, train, and mentor audit staff to develop their skills and expertise.
  • Apply KPMG's audit and accounting practices/methodologies on client engagements, ensuring compliance with relevant frameworks.
Requirements
  • Canadian CPA designation or international equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience working with a public practice accounting firm.
  • Previous experience using various accounting frameworks applicable in Canada (IFRS, ASPE, NPO, and/or Public Sector).
  • Excellent client service skills, with an aptitude to understand clients' businesses and develop strong client relationships.
  • Ability to manage conflicting demands and priorities, with a dedication to achieving high standards of client service.
  • Proven background of building a client base and adding revenue.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong team player mentality and meticulous attention to detail.
