Position Overview

As a Material Handling Specialist at CITY FURNITURE (DC) LTD, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient movement and management of products and materials within our facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Education: Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
  • Material Movement: Load, unload, and transport products and materials using manual handling techniques and basic equipment.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate various machinery to facilitate the loading and unloading of goods.
  • Order Management: Prepare and ship customer orders accurately.
  • Inventory Control: Pick and stock items efficiently, ensuring accurate inventory levels.
  • Labeling: Create and affix labels to products as needed.
  • Packaging: Wrap and pack goods securely for transport.
  • Goods Handling: Install, lash, and secure items for safe storage and transport.
  • Inventory Organization: Maintain and organize inventory effectively.
  • Computerized Systems: Utilize computerized inventory control systems for managing stock.
Experience Requirements
  • Minimum of 1 month to less than 7 months of relevant experience.
  • Employment Type: Permanent position.
  • Language of Work: English.
  • Work Hours: 35 hours per week.
