Job Title: Senior Human Resources Consultant, People and Culture

Regina Public Library is seeking a highly skilled Senior Human Resources Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our Leadership Team, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing effective training and development opportunities, promoting employee engagement, and ensuring a customer-centered organizational culture.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver training programs to support staff development and performance management
  • Coach and support managers in human resources matters, including performance management, attendance support, and occupational health and safety
  • Collaborate with the Director of People and Culture to develop and implement human resources policies, procedures, and systems
  • Support the Library's recruitment and selection processes, including job evaluation and labour relations activities
Requirements:
  • University degree in Human Resource Management, Administration, or a related field, supplemented with a minimum of 5 years of experience in human resources in the areas of performance management and/or staff development in a unionized environment
  • Extensive knowledge of and demonstrated ability to apply current best practices in human resource strategy, systems, and processes
  • Ability to coach staff to ensure the effective application of organizational human resources policies and processes
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
