Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Financial Services Sales Representative to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for establishing strategic initiatives, selling and servicing life and health insurance products, and growing our business.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Work with our Manager and Agent to develop and implement strategic marketing initiatives to drive growth and increase sales of life and health insurance products.
  • Sales and Service: Sell and service life and health insurance products to clients, focusing on delivering exceptional customer service and building strong relationships.
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities to grow our life and health book of business.
  • Team Collaboration: Work with our team to educate clients on multi-line sales and deliver a 5-Star sales and service experience.
  • Goal Achievement: Meet and exceed sales and service targets, including cross-selling and up-selling initiatives.
  • Client Management: Manage a client contact program to enhance our customers' insurance and financial experience.
  • Needs-Based Review: Use a customer-focused, needs-based review process to educate clients about insurance options and provide personalized recommendations.

Requirements:

  • Insurance Expertise: Ability to advise and help households manage risk.

Qualifications:

  • Insurance Licenses: Life/Accident and Sickness license and Property and Casualty license (must be able to obtain).
  • Experience: Management and sales experience (required) and 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Education: Education in a related field.
  • Previous Experience: Previous insurance experience in various property and casualty disciplines, such as underwriting, claims, sales, or service would be an asset.

Locations:

We have two locations in Edmonton:

North Office: Ave NW Edmonton

South Office: Riverbend Sq. NW Edmonton

These positions are with an independent contractor agent that is part of the Desjardins exclusive agent network, not with Desjardins Group or its subsidiaries. This agent's employees are not employees of Desjardins. Independent contractor agents are responsible for and make all employment decisions regarding their employees.
