Site Superintendent Job Description

At Michael Page International Canada Limited, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Superintendent to join our team. As a key member of our construction management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our construction sites, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Management: Manage and supervise all on-site construction activities, including subcontractors and tradespeople, to ensure that projects are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Communication: Coordinate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that project requirements are met and that all parties are informed of project progress.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks to ensure that workmanship meets company standards and that all safety protocols are in place.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a diverse team of construction professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure that they have the resources and expertise needed to succeed.
  • Safety and Risk Management: Implement and enforce safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment and minimize the risk of accidents and injuries.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience as an ICI Superintendent, managing ICI projects.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of construction methods, techniques, and materials, excellent leadership and communication skills, and the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
  • Certifications: Gold Seal certification or equivalent credentials highly desirable.
  • Software: Familiarity with construction management software and tools.
