Company Overview:
1PointFive stands at the forefront of carbon dioxide removal (CDR), offering scalable and cost-effective solutions aimed at achieving geological net zero. Our mission is to mitigate global temperature increases to 1.5°C by 2050 through the implementation of pioneering technologies, including Carbon Engineering's Direct Air Capture (DAC) and AIR TO FUELS systems, complemented by geologic sequestration hubs.

Role Overview:
We are in search of a seasoned and proactive Head of Aviation Carbon Capture to spearhead critical initiatives within the aviation sector. This position is pivotal in driving new business ventures and will report directly to the Vice President of Strategic Partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Business Opportunity Analysis: Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to assess potential business opportunities in aviation contracts, partnerships, and collaborations. Provide insights and recommendations on viable pursuits.
2. Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain robust relationships with key stakeholders, including airlines, airports, and industry partners. Understand their needs and objectives to foster collaboration.
3. Capture Strategy Development: Lead the formulation of comprehensive capture strategies, identifying competitive advantages and risk management approaches.
4. Market Research: Conduct in-depth market analysis to evaluate competitive landscapes and regulatory frameworks. Utilize insights to align innovative solutions with net-zero objectives.

Travel Requirements:
This role will necessitate significant travel, both internationally and domestically, to engage with stakeholders and facilitate partnerships.

Qualifications:
- A minimum of 10-15 years of relevant experience in capture management or business development within the aviation industry, with a total of at least 15 years of professional experience.
- In-depth knowledge of aviation operations, regulations, and market dynamics, with a strong preference for familiarity with sustainable aviation practices.
- Proven strategic thinking abilities, with a capacity to anticipate market changes and adapt strategies accordingly.
- Experience in negotiating and reviewing contracts for large-scale commercial transactions, demonstrating a collaborative approach with legal stakeholders.

Education:
A Bachelor's Degree in business, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
