Job Summary:

Johnson Controls is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Fire Protection Apprentice to join our team. As a Fire Protection Apprentice, you will assist in servicing and inspecting fire protection systems, ensuring the highest level of safety and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the maintenance and repair of fire protection systems, including sprinkler systems and fire pumps.
  • Conduct regular inspections of fire protection systems to ensure they are functioning properly and meet industry standards.
  • Perform physical labor and work in challenging positions, including climbing ladders and working at heights.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of fire protection system maintenance and inspections.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless execution of fire protection system maintenance and inspections.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 18 years of age.
  • Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work well with others and as part of a team.
  • Physically capable of performing required tasks, including lifting and carrying heavy equipment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Union membership in good standing.
  • Enrolled in Apprenticeship Program.

Compensation and Benefits:

Johnson Controls offers a competitive compensation package, including:

  • Starting rate of $24.84 per hour in the first year.
  • Starting rate of $31.61 per hour in the second year.
  • Starting rate of $36.13 per hour in the third year.
  • Starting rate of $40.64 per hour in the fourth year.
