As a key member of the IT Business Analysis Team, the Business Analytics Manager will play a pivotal role in driving business solutions by combining business analyst skills with project management expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead projects, creating and managing project plans, requirements, budget, schedule, communication, and delivery to ensure successful outcomes.

  • Supervise, develop, and mentor team members in business liaison skills, vendor engagements, requirement definition, and project management to ensure team success.
  • Provide mentorship, coaching, and support to subordinates, promoting their growth and development to achieve business objectives.
  • Act as a liaison between the Information Technology Department and business units, ensuring effective communication and collaboration to drive business results.
  • Organize and provide 2nd-level support to resolve operational and business application support issues to minimize downtime.
  • Manage discussions with business users to establish system development project priorities, requirements, specifications, costs, and timelines to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Assist in the management and direction setting for the IT Business Analysis Team, including setting priorities, budget development, and resource planning to ensure team success.
  • Hire, manage, and assist in the hiring/termination of IT Business Analysis Team members to maintain optimal performance.
  • Assist in controlling IT budgets and expenditures to ensure fiscal responsibility.
Requirements:
  • A Bachelor or Master Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or Commerce.
  • 10 years or more of supervising experience in various information technology services support functions, including business analysis, project management, and business consulting.
  • Previous experience in managing a team of Business Analysts is mandatory.
  • Strong project management skills, including communication, presentation, budget/schedule/resource control, risk management, stakeholder management, requirements management, and scope management.
  • Certification in Business Analysis, Project Management, or other relevant designations is an asset.
  • Sound understanding of contemporary retail business, including eCommerce and digital channels, hardware, and software architectures.
  • Service-oriented with good interpersonal and customer relations skills.
  • Demonstrate initiative, flexibility, and responsiveness in completing tasks.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to communicate in Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin) is an asset.
