Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team at Essential Coil Well Service in Grande Prairie. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance inspections, troubleshooting and repairing complex hydraulic systems, and diagnosing defects in heavy-duty equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform thorough preventative maintenance inspections to ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and operational policies and procedures.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and adjust complex hydraulic systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Inspect, repair, and adjust diesel-powered units to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Diagnose defects and repair a wide variety of heavy-duty equipment to ensure minimal downtime.
  • Perform mechanical repairs on equipment in the shop and on road calls as required.
Requirements
  • Journeyman Heavy Duty Technician (Red Seal preferred) or currently enrolled in the Alberta Apprenticeship Program as a Heavy Duty Mechanic.
  • A valid CVIP license or the ability to apply for one.
  • Previous oilfield, coil tubing, and pumping experience would be an asset.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License with a good driving record required.
  • Computer diagnostic experience.
  • Ability to work independently in a busy environment with shifting priorities.
  • Highly flexible with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.
  • Clear and concise communication skills – both written and verbal.
