Job Title: Grounds Maintainer

We are seeking a skilled Grounds Maintainer to join our team at Graceland Cottages. As a Grounds Maintainer, you will be responsible for maintaining the grounds and facilities of our hotel and resort, ensuring a beautiful and welcoming environment for our guests.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain the grounds and facilities, including lawns, gardens, and landscaping
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as mowing, pruning, and weeding
  • Repair and maintain equipment, such as lawn mowers and gardening tools
  • Water and tend to plants, lawns, and gardens
  • Remove litter and garbage, and cart and spread topsoil and other materials
  • Lay sod or seed, and plant bulbs, flowers, shrubs, and trees
  • Perform housekeeping activities, such as cleaning and disinfecting surfaces
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor and lift heavy objects
  • Availability for shift or on-call work
  • Availability for the advertised start date
Working Conditions:
  • Work setting: Hotel, motel, resort, landscape maintenance, campground workers, construction
  • Level of expertise: Maintenance and repair
  • Tasks: Tie and secure plants, weed, prune and trim trees and plants, cut grass, rake and collect refuse, remove litter and garbage, cart and spread topsoil and other materials, lay sod or seed, plant bulbs, flowers, shrubs, and trees, repair and maintain equipment, water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens, housekeeping activities
