Job Title: Porter - Aera
Job Summary:
The Porter is responsible for the set-up, tear down, and transportation of products in the restaurant. This involves moving and placing tables, chairs, decorations, and other items required by the restaurant or event. The Porter is accountable for maintaining the organization and upkeep of the restaurant, both during business and non-business hours. In addition, the Porter will work together with the front-of-house team to ensure overall venue success, whether that means helping with server duties or vice versa.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and set up the venue according to the set plan and guests' requests, ensuring that every detail, both large and small, is met.
- If required, ensure that the venue is 100% set for the next event.
- Lead other staff members to ensure that the setup is being done efficiently and effectively.
- Lift and move both heavy and light objects in a safe and timely manner.
- Tear down of the venue after an event and ensure it is clear and maintained to O&B standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the venue.
- Comply with and act in accordance with Health and Safety regulations.
- Receive and sign off on materials and shipments from clients and couriers, and let a manager know each time.
- Additional duties as assigned or required.
Requirements:
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage a variable workload, ensuring safe, timely, and accurate completion of assigned work.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Able to listen and follow clear directions.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Available to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and/or occasional overnight shifts.
- Dependable and goal-oriented.
