Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Porter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, tearing down, and transporting products and equipment throughout the restaurant. This includes moving tables, chairs, decorations, and other items as needed. The Porter will work closely with the front-of-house team to ensure the overall success of the venue.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and set up the venue according to plan and guest requests, ensuring every detail is met.
- Ensure the venue is 100% set for the next event.
- Lead other staff members to ensure efficient and effective setup.
- Lift and move heavy and light objects safely and timely.
- Tear down the venue after an event and maintain it to O&B standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the venue.
- Comply with and act in accordance with Health and Safety regulations.
- Receive and sign off on materials and shipments from clients and couriers, and notify a manager each time.
Requirements
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage a variable workload.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Able to listen and follow clear directions.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Available to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and/or occasional overnight shifts.
- Dependable and goal-oriented.
