Children's Services Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Children's Services Manager to join our team at Ontario Municipal Social Services Association. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing, directing, and leading Children's Services staff to ensure effective service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and direct Children's Services staff to ensure effective service delivery.
- Influence direction and develop strong partnerships with licensed child care and early years providers, school boards, and service providers.
- Develop and implement programs that respond to the diverse needs of children, families, and service providers.
- Ensure compliance with relevant Health and Safety legislation and corporate/departmental policies and procedures.
- Minimum 4-year University Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Commerce, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of related experience including supervisory.
- Demonstrated skills in change management and leadership, large financial portfolio management, program design and implementation, and systems oversight.
- Excellent presentation, written, and oral communication skills.
- Ability to negotiate, problem solve, prioritize, and review, evaluate key programs and related funding.
- Experience networking and preparing reports for Ministry and service providers.
- Sound working knowledge of relevant and current legislation.
- High level of computer proficiency and program-related technologies.
- Experience managing in a unionized environment.
