Position Overview

We are seeking a Home Support Worker to provide essential care and assistance to clients in their own homes. This role is vital in ensuring the well-being and comfort of individuals who require support in their daily activities.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of a relevant trades certificate or diploma.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 to less than 7 months in a similar role.
Work Environment
  • Non-smoking environment.
  • Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis, though this is not a condition of employment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Administer prescribed medications as required.
  • Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks, including bathing.
  • Encourage and assist clients in maintaining regular physical activity, such as walking.
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties to maintain a safe and tidy environment.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
  • Prepare and serve healthy meals tailored to client needs.
  • Cook nutritious meals as per dietary requirements.
Certifications Required
  • Geriatric Certificate.
  • CPR Certificate.
  • Health Care Aide Certificate.
  • Personal Support Worker Certificate.
