To ensure due diligence in project planning, selection, and execution, we seek a talented and experienced leader to oversee operational governance and communication aspects of the IT PMO within the PMO organization.

Position Summary

The Portfolio Manager will report to the Director, Office of IT PMO, and be responsible for managing and qualifying business cases for project intake under their portfolio in accordance with a defined framework and tool set. They will serve as the conduit between the business and the PMO, ensuring alignment on business needs and initiatives.

Main Responsibilities:

• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate and negotiate with senior leaders of the business, fostering a win-win mindset.

• Communication: Effectively communicate with the business leadership team and One IT leadership pillars.

• Analytics: Capture and assess data at a portfolio level, providing reports as needed for consideration.

• Performance: Provide regular qualitative assessments and recommendations to the business and PMO Governance.

• Process Ownership: Qualify, benefit realization, prioritize initiatives, resource planning, risk management, and budgeting IT PMO portfolios under their remit.

• Coach and Mentor: Advocate, coach, and educate the value of the Portfolio Management role to the business.

Requirements:

• Master's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field.

• 5+ years' experience in PMO Portfolio Management at an enterprise level.

• Relevant program/project management qualification (e.g., PRINCE Practitioner, PMP) is preferred.

• 5+ years on projects geographically dispersed.

• Proven experience in line management and individual development within a matrix organization structure.

• Strong knowledge of portfolio management processes, project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on driving continuous improvement.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• End-to-end understanding of the IT lifecycle (pipeline, resource, demand, project delivery, and financial).
