Join Our Team as a Lumber Take-Off Estimator

At Tech-Wood Building Components Ltd., we're growing and we need your expertise As a trusted provider of Engineered Wood Products, Roof Trusses, and innovative Wall Panels, we're looking for a skilled Lumber Take-Off Estimator to join our team.

Your Role:

As a Lumber Take-Off Estimator, you'll be responsible for:

  • Reading and interpreting blueprints and building codes related to residential and multi-family projects.
  • Estimating the quantity and types of lumber and related materials needed for various construction projects.
  • Producing accurate material takeoffs and cost estimates for lumber and related materials using appropriate software tools.
  • Communicating with engineers, architects, and contractors regarding project details before and during construction.
What We're Looking For:

We're seeking a candidate with:

  • A technical diploma or degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
  • Work experience in the lumber or construction materials industry.
  • Knowledge of construction processes and materials related to single-family, multi-family, and light commercial wood-framed construction.
  • Understanding of local building codes and construction practices.
