Job Title: Process Engineering Team Lead

Irving Oil is seeking a highly skilled Process Engineering Team Lead to join our team. As a key member of our Engineering Services department, you will provide leadership and technical expertise to our process engineering team, ensuring the successful planning and execution of our work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead engineering and design efforts for complex capital projects, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Provide technical guidance and supervision to team members, ensuring high-quality work and adherence to established workflows and processes.
  • Develop and execute resource plans to ensure effective cost, schedule, and quality performance.
  • Support performance reviews, coaching, and feedback to team members, promoting continuous professional development.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including Group and Team Leads, Managers, and Senior Managers, to ensure effective communication and coordination.
Requirements:
  • University degree in Chemical Engineering with P.Eng. designation (or immediate eligibility) in New Brunswick.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in process design in chemical, petrochemical, or oil & gas plants, with brownfield oil and gas experience being a strong asset.
  • Strong understanding of applicable regulatory and industry codes, including ASME, API, NFPA, and CSA.
  • Proficiency with process engineering software tools, including Aspen HYSYS, EDR, and HTRI.
