About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Carpenter to join our team at Framing Carpenter. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality carpentry services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimation and Planning: Prepare accurate estimates of labour and material costs for projects, taking into account building codes and regulations.
  • Site Management: Schedule and coordinate work on sites, ensuring timely completion of projects and maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Carpentry Skills: Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials to build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
  • Installation and Finishing: Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware, ensuring a high level of quality and attention to detail.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor other workers, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful completion of projects.
  • Cost Management: Estimate costs and materials, ensuring that projects are completed within budget and to the required quality standards.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in the carpentry trade.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Hours: 35 to 40 hours per week.
