Vertex is seeking an experienced Accounting Technician to join our team

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized individual to manage our accounting files, process payroll for around 10 employees, and perform various accounting tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage accounting files and data
  • Process payroll for around 10 employees
  • Perform all calculations relating to the DAS
  • Manage payments to the government, including GST and QST
  • Prepare end-of-month entries
  • Work with accounts payable and receivable
  • Be available to answer questions and provide support
  • Ensure production compliance with all government standards and documents
  • Collaborate with the senior accountant to carry out accounting and finance tasks and reports

Requirements:

  • ASP DEP or DEC in accounting, or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of experience in the accounting field
  • Experience with accounting software and Excel
  • French and English language proficiency
  • Organization and efficiency skills

What We Offer:

  • Excellent annual salary: $50,000-$60,000

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday
