R.V. Anderson Associates Limited is seeking a seasoned professional to oversee the Water Resource division, taking on the responsibilities of Vice President. The ideal candidate will possess prior leadership experience, demonstrate the ability to collaborate effectively with senior management and team members, and exhibit strategic problem-solving skills. In addition to leadership capabilities, the successful candidate will maintain and expand a network of clients while spearheading business development efforts for the Water Resource sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct the Water Resource division, formulating, monitoring, and executing an annual business strategy and long-term growth plan.
  • Engage in Business Development initiatives and drive operational expansion for the firm in various regions. Cultivate relationships with existing and prospective clients, support significant proposals, and oversee budgets and timelines.
  • Provide analytical support to various teams within the organization, developing models to identify effective solutions for diverse private and public sector projects.
  • Assist in proposal preparation, project planning, and cost estimation for modeling and related engineering tasks.
  • Ensure project deliverables align with the professional standards of the firm and participate in comprehensive reviews of project outputs.
  • Represent the firm in interactions with clients, regulatory bodies, utility companies, and professional associations.
  • Perform administrative responsibilities, including financial oversight, staff management, and mentorship.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as necessary and suitable for this role.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must hold a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) license in the relevant provinces.
  • A minimum of 25 years of progressive experience in a similar capacity within an engineering consulting environment.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Practical understanding of construction processes and feasibility.
  • Experience in evaluating complex construction plans, including temporary structures and commissioning processes.
  • Proven track record in meeting project deadlines and budgets, proposal writing, and client relationship management.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce technical reports and documentation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to foster positive relationships with clients and team members.
  • Awareness of industry trends and best practices.
