Job Overview

As the Warehouse Operations Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that all warehouse activities are executed in a secure, efficient, and compliant manner with all local Health and Safety standards and organizational policies. You will serve as the main liaison between the sales and operations teams and the warehouse personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor the warehouse staff to guarantee safe and effective execution of all warehouse operations.
  • Ensure that all materials are received and stored safely and economically, while completing all necessary documentation.
  • Oversee the accurate routing, loading, and preparation of orders for shipment, delivery, and pick-up according to customer specifications.
  • Review and maintain accurate driver's records for drivers and forklift certifications for all operators.
  • Manage and schedule maintenance for all delivery vehicles and material handling equipment utilized in the warehouse.
  • Recommend acquisitions of new warehouse equipment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  • Protect and maintain company assets, including buildings, fleet, inventory, equipment, and receivables.
  • Understand and adhere to all safety protocols at customer locations as well as within the warehouse.
  • Address and resolve delivery issues and receiving discrepancies promptly and effectively.
  • Perform additional tasks as directed by the Profit Centre Manager.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education is an asset.
  • At least 1 year of experience in warehouse management and team supervision.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in material handling.
  • Ability to operate a forklift and other material handling equipment safely.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Strong work ethic and a high level of integrity.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to develop a thorough understanding of products offered by the company.
  • Proficient in learning and utilizing the relevant software systems for order processing.
  • Intermediate mathematical skills.
