Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Consumer Affairs Reporter to join our personal finance and investing team. In this role, you will guide readers through the complexities of household finances, from credit cards to car insurance. You will investigate consumer complaints, advocate for consumers, and provide practical advice on how Canadians can make informed decisions.

Responsibilities
  • Research and write engaging stories in various formats
  • Pitch original story ideas for multiple platforms
  • Contribute to major editorial consumer-focused initiatives and rankings
  • Collaborate with colleagues to brainstorm story ideas and develop effective storytelling strategies
Qualifications
  • At least five years of writing experience
  • Strong research and reporting skills
  • Experience in following up on reader tips and story ideas
