About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Communications Specialist to join our team at The Toronto-Dominion Bank (Canada). As a key member of our Public Affairs team, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic communications plans to drive engagement across multiple channels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive communications strategies to support business objectives
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across the enterprise
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Public Affairs themes into business communications plans
  • Write and edit high-quality communications materials, including news releases, social media content, and briefing documents
  • Monitor and analyze key public policy themes and trends, providing insights and recommendations to senior leaders

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in communications or a related field, with a background working in government, public policy, or corporate communications
  • Post-secondary education, preferably a university degree
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with experience creating impactful narratives and managing multiple priorities
  • Excellent media relations skills, with experience in media training and working with journalists
  • Ability to contribute to the development of innovative executive communications plans
