Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at one of our client's facilities in Ontario. As a key member of the operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of equipment, ensuring optimal production efficiency and minimizing downtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of maintenance personnel to ensure timely completion of tasks and projects
- Inspect and maintain facilities, equipment, and systems to identify and resolve problems
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules and plans to minimize downtime and maximize equipment reliability
- Collaborate with production teams to identify and address production inefficiencies
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and guidelines
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Maintenance Supervisor in a food facility or similar industry
- Professional certifications in maintenance or a related field (an asset)
- In-depth knowledge of building systems, including heating, electrical, air conditioning, and ventilation
- Familiarity with relevant health and safety standards and regulations
- Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with SAP or other ERP software systems (an asset)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word and Excel
- Strong strategic and critical thinking abilities
- Customer-focused with strong interpersonal skills
Compensation
- Hourly rate: $25-$30/hour
