Job Description: Customer Experience Specialist - Development & Construction

We're seeking a passionate and driven individual to join our team as a Customer Experience Specialist for our Development & Construction division. This role is based at our head office in Guelph, Ontario.

What You'll Do:
  • Conduct site visits to identify any areas needing improvement.
  • Perform Pre-Delivery Inspections with purchasers and review Tarion Warranty forms as required.
  • Collaborate with the development team to implement design choices effectively.
  • Prepare and issue work orders, purchase orders, and back charges when necessary.
  • Manage tradespeople and service technicians to ensure all deadlines are met accurately.
  • Act as a quality control expert and identify potential risks throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, addressing their questions, providing information, and ensuring expectations are exceeded.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of project schedules and proactively identify any risks that could impact the budget or timeline.
  • Track all critical path milestones and condition dates, creating internal and external reports as needed.
  • Provide procurement support for materials or equipment.
  • Reconcile project budgets accurately.
  • Create and distribute comprehensive monthly construction reports.

  • Exceptional organizational skills, planning abilities, and a solid understanding of development, design, and construction principles.
  • Proven project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, adapt to changing conditions, and meet tight deadlines while maintaining clear communication and organization.
  • A commitment to efficiency and excellence in administrative operations, ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, and relevant legislation.
  • The ability to cultivate strong working relationships with vendors, on-site staff, and internal departments.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills, sound judgment, and a creative approach to finding innovative solutions.
Experience and Education:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in new development or construction, specifically within the multi-family residential sector.
  • Post-secondary education in a related field.
  • A valid driver's license.
