Job Title: Human Resources Adviser

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Adviser to join our team at MMJ Hotel Housekeeping and Janitorial Services Inc. As a key member of our HR department, you will play a vital role in supporting the organization's goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer staff consultation and grievance procedures to ensure a fair and respectful work environment.
  • Coordinate the activities of the HR department to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Plan and organize daily operations to maximize efficiency and productivity.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate human resources policies and programs to support employee growth and development.
  • Review HR projects to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Advise managers and employees on human resources policies, benefit programs, and collective agreements.
  • Mediate labour disputes and grievances to resolve conflicts in a fair and timely manner.
  • Research and prepare occupational classifications, job descriptions, and salary scales to support organizational planning.
  • Coordinate employee performance and appraisal programs to support employee growth and development.
  • Research employee benefits and health and safety practices to recommend improvements.
  • Hire, train, and supervise staff to ensure a high-performing team.
  • Negotiate collective agreements on behalf of employers or workers to support organizational goals.
Requirements:
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Organized and efficient interpersonal skills.
  • Reliability and accountability.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
Education and Experience:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in human resources or a related field.
  • Permanent position with 40 hours per week.
  • Language of work: English.
