Position Overview

Are you ready to take on a pivotal role in overseeing Construction Contract Administration for large-scale infrastructure projects? We are seeking a dedicated professional to lead teams of Inspectors, Construction Contract Administrators, and other personnel in the realm of heavy civil construction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, schedule, and supervise the construction contract administration team, ensuring effective management of resources and activities related to construction projects.
  • Oversee various construction activities on municipal projects, including the development of work plans, cost estimation, and project status reporting throughout its lifecycle.
  • Act as the primary liaison between clients and the construction project, providing leadership and direction to the Contract Administration team.

Expectations:

  • Ensure quality construction output that complies with design specifications and standards.
  • Collaborate with contractors to mitigate hazards that may impact the environment or the safety of personnel.
  • Manage contract administration documentation, including design drawings, change orders, and back-charge documents.
  • Make strategic decisions regarding planning, scheduling, budgeting, and personnel management.
  • Direct and control all business, technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of assigned projects.
  • Establish and oversee project execution plans, health and safety protocols, and quality assurance measures.
  • Mobilize company resources to form effective project teams and address project space requirements.
  • Work with project engineers and discipline leads to develop budgets and schedules, ensuring adherence to established goals.
  • Address potential cost overruns or delays by collaborating with key project individuals to devise corrective action plans.
  • Promote technical and commercial excellence through the application of quality assurance processes and regular project status reviews.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Project Management or a related field in Civil Engineering.
  • 10+ years of experience in engineering management on large-scale programs.
  • Broad technical and business background with professional registration.
  • Proven ability to manage projects and interface effectively with clients.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of industry standards and project management certification requirements.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to meet customer security requirements.
