Position Overview

The Project Manager role at Nova Scotia Health is pivotal in enhancing healthcare delivery through effective project oversight. This position is designed for a dedicated professional who will serve as an internal consultant, focusing on the Planning, Performance & Accountability (PPA) team.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Lead and manage large-scale projects that involve multidisciplinary teams from inception to completion.
  • Facilitate transformation and operational planning across various healthcare portfolios.
  • Collaborate with Project Management Offices (PMOs) to ensure project alignment and prioritization.
  • Provide education and training in project management methodologies to enhance the capabilities of healthcare staff.
  • Maintain high standards of performance and accountability throughout project lifecycles.
Qualifications

We are looking for candidates who possess:

  • An undergraduate degree.
  • A minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in consultancy, project management, or related fields.
  • A Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • A Master’s degree in health administration, business administration, or a related field is an asset.
  • Expertise in project management methodologies and organizational change management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience in data analytics and the ability to influence diverse groups.
