About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant, Strategic Projects and Initiatives to join our team at Nova Scotia Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the coordination of strategic initiatives and network activities, working closely with the Manager, Planning and Development to advance the strategic and operational priorities of the portfolio.

The scope of practice will include various roles as facilitator, coordinator, communicator, and planner, working according to the mission, vision, values, and policies of NS Health. The Consultant will support the development and implementation of programs, services, and initiatives throughout the province, guided by the Network's priority areas, multiple stakeholders, and community needs.

About You

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in healthcare, preferably with a baccalaureate degree from a health discipline or health science field. A master's degree in Business Administration or Health Services Administration is an asset. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of related leadership experience, preferably in a healthcare setting, and be eligible for registration with a relevant health discipline/college or association.

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with a variety of stakeholder groups. They will also have experience in planning, coordinating, delivering, and evaluating programs, services, or initiatives, as well as experience in supervision or management of unionized staff.

Hours and Compensation

This is a permanent full-time position, with 75 hours bi-weekly. The hourly rate is $37.61 - $47.01. The successful candidate may be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
