About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Early Childhood Assistant to join our team at CEFA Early Learning Victoria - Westshore. As an Early Childhood Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our child care centre and contributing to the development of our young learners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess children's development and create personalized learning plans to meet their unique needs.
  • Collaborate with early childhood educators to design and implement programs that promote children's physical, cognitive, emotional, and social growth.
  • Support educators in maintaining accurate records and submitting written observations on children's progress.
  • Engage children in activities, such as storytelling, singing, and craft preparation, to foster their creativity and curiosity.
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for meals and rest periods, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for all children.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in child care or a related field is an asset.
  • Criminal record check and immunization records are required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with attention to detail and a focus on providing excellent care to children.
