Position Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated individual to join our team. As a Junior Wealth Management Advisor, you will play a vital role in expanding our business by collaborating closely with the Investment Advisor and the team to manage client relationships and portfolios, develop new business opportunities, and provide exceptional client service.

Key Responsibilities:

Support for Investment Advisors:

  1. Prepare comprehensive client reports, review packages, and investment proposals, including retirement projections and financial plans.
  2. Assist in conducting research, analysis, asset allocation decisions, and selecting investment products with a proactive approach.
  3. Execute equity and fixed income transactions to implement portfolio adjustments.
  4. Contribute to the creation of quarterly market updates for clients and identify relevant educational content to share.

Business Development Initiatives:

  1. Identify new business opportunities to attract additional assets and enhance revenue through client outreach and networking.
  2. Explore ways to increase assets and revenue within the existing client base through referrals and asset consolidation.

Client Service Excellence:

  1. Provide outstanding client support by addressing day-to-day requests and conducting proactive service follow-ups.
  2. Facilitate regular communication with clients, including updates and invitations to events and seminars.
  3. Ensure compliance with all firm and regulatory policies by staying informed about relevant rules and accurately documenting client interactions.

Qualifications:

  1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in the financial services industry.
  2. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  3. Exceptional organizational and time management abilities, with a talent for multitasking and problem-solving.
  4. Self-motivated with the capacity to work independently and a willingness to learn new concepts.
  5. Ability to meet deadlines consistently.
  6. Familiarity with industry compliance regulations and back-office procedures.
  7. A solid understanding of financial products, including equities, fixed income, mutual funds, and options.
  8. Proven relationship-building skills and an entrepreneurial mindset.
  9. Strong grasp of accounting and financial analysis principles, along with modeling capabilities.
  10. Quick adaptability to new technologies and software.

Education:

  1. A degree in Business, Economics, or a related field.
  2. Completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC), Conduct and Practices Handbook (CPH), and Wealth Management Essentials (WME) is preferred.
  3. Licensing with the Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization of Canada (CIRO) as a Registered Representative is preferred.
