This role is ideal for an individual with a strong background in quantitative analysis who is enthusiastic about generating alpha and exploring the convergence of finance, computer science, and mathematics. Your involvement will be crucial in shaping impactful investment decisions through empirical analysis and innovative techniques.
The initiatives within the Investment Science team focus on refining and systematizing investment strategies across diverse asset classes in both public and private markets. A recent emphasis has been placed on critical decision-making throughout the investment lifecycle, including capital allocation and security selection, utilizing exclusive forecasts driven by advanced methodologies such as machine learning, natural language processing, and generative AI.
Key Responsibilities:
- Model Development: Design, enhance, and maintain machine learning models aimed at predicting future fundamental data. Leverage AI and machine learning capabilities to elevate investment research and forecast precision.
- Investment Research: Contribute to the creation and application of investment research frameworks, integrating investment principles with data and advanced analytical techniques to address key challenges in capital allocation and security selection.
- Alpha Generation: Employ an alpha-focused approach to data and feature engineering, forecasting models, and portfolio construction.
- Collaboration: Thrive in a dynamic environment, working closely with investment professionals, researchers, engineers, and subject matter experts across the organization.
Qualifications:
Educational Background:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, data science, statistics, or a related quantitative field.
- Two to three years of relevant professional experience.
- Experience in investment environments is advantageous, or a demonstrated interest in financial data and decision-making.
Technical Skills:
- Strong programming capabilities, preferably in Python, with familiarity in C/C++, C#, or Java.
- Experience in developing and deploying scalable machine learning models and pipelines in both research and production settings, including proficiency with machine learning frameworks and libraries (e.g., scikit-learn).
- Familiarity with big data processing frameworks such as PySpark is a plus.
- Experience in natural language processing using large language models or foundational models is beneficial.
