About the Role

Kodiak Lawncare Inc is seeking a skilled Grounds Maintenance Worker to join our team. As a Grounds Maintenance Worker, you will be responsible for maintaining the appearance and health of our lawns and outdoor spaces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Weed, Prune, and Trim Trees and Plants: Ensure that our lawns and gardens are well-manicured and free of weeds and debris.
  • Cut Grass: Maintain our lawns to the highest standard, ensuring that they are cut to the correct height and appearance.
  • Rake and Collect Refuse: Keep our outdoor spaces clean and free of debris, including leaves and other refuse.
  • Plant Bulbs, Flowers, Shrubs, and Trees: Enhance the appearance of our lawns and gardens by planting new flowers, shrubs, and trees.
  • Repair and Maintain Equipment: Ensure that all equipment is in good working order, and make any necessary repairs.
  • Set Up and Adjust Saw Equipment: Prepare and adjust saw equipment for use in cutting grass and other tasks.
  • Valid Driver's Licence: Possess a valid driver's licence to operate company vehicles.
  • Attention to Detail: Demonstrate attention to detail in all aspects of the job, including weeding, pruning, and cutting grass.
  • Ability to Work Independently: Work independently with minimal supervision, using your own initiative to complete tasks.
  • Weight Handling: Lift and move heavy objects, including equipment and refuse, up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Team Player: Work as part of a team to achieve common goals and objectives.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Work Schedule: 35 hours per week, with a flexible schedule to accommodate changing weather conditions.
