Occupational Health and Safety Management Instructor

Cape Breton University is seeking a highly qualified Occupational Health and Safety Management Instructor to join our team in the School of Education and Health. As an Instructor, you will play a key role in teaching and mentoring students in our Occupational Health and Safety Management Post Baccalaureate Diploma program.
Key Responsibilities- Teach courses in occupational health and safety management, including legislation, management, risk assessment, and workplace health and wellness.
- Develop and implement curriculum to meet the needs of our students and the industry.
- Collaborate with colleagues and community partners on research and development projects.
- Provide academic advising and support to students.
- Stay current with industry developments and best practices in occupational health and safety management.
- Master's degree in a relevant field, such as occupational health and safety, public health, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of practice experience in occupational health and safety, preferably in the public sector.
- Teaching experience at the post-secondary level is an asset.
- Certification in a relevant field, such as CPHI, RM, CIH, ROH, ROHT, or CRSP, is preferred.
