About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Trials Nurse to join our team at the University Health Network. As a key member of our clinical trials team, you will play a critical role in the management and coordination of clinical studies for the Department of Medical Oncology at Princess Margaret Hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruitment and Screening: Identify and screen potential study participants, obtain informed consent, and ensure compliance with study protocols.
  • Study Visit Coordination: Coordinate patient visits schedules, execute all aspects of study visits, including assessment of adverse events, monitoring safety, medication, questionnaires, and sample collection.
  • Data Collection and Source Documentation: Provide clinical care for patients participating in clinical trials and implement and coordinate all aspects of data collection and source documentation within required timeframes, as per UHN policy and ICH/GCP guidelines.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Registered Nurse with a minimum of 3 (three) years of nursing experience, current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario, and provincial standardized chemotherapy and biotherapy certification.
  • Clinical Research Experience: Previous clinical research experience required, with a minimum of one (3) year clinical experience in oncology.
  • Skills and Abilities: Demonstrated knowledge and ability to utilize the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, excellent organizational and time management skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
